Potent U was founded by Joe Austin in the mid 1990’s. Potent U stands for Potentials Unleashed—the idea that we all have far more within us than we often realize.

My background started in IT, where I helped people become more effective with tools like Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. While those skills are useful, I began to realize something important:

Improving tools can make your work easier…
But improving yourself can transform your entire life.

That realization shifted everything.

Since my first exposure to self-help books in the 1980s, I’ve been on a lifelong journey of growth and understanding. Along the way, I’ve explored spirituality, philosophy, psychology, hypnotism, neuro-linguistic programming, the Silva Mind Control Method, and many other approaches to personal development.

But learning alone isn’t enough.

They say the best way to truly understand something is to teach it—so that’s what I’ve set out to do. Through these articles, I share what I’ve learned in a practical, approachable way so you can apply it to your own life.
